Sarah Sherman talks about her love for Paul McCartney and how he once pulled a mullet on her.
Roommate star Sarah Sherman is a huge Paul McCartney fan, and she’s not ashamed of it. In a recent interview, the actress, known for her work in Chucky, Pizza Movie, and You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, among others, got candid about her admiration for the music legend.
She even revealed that the singer joked with her when they first met on the set of Saturday Night Live.

While speaking with PEOPLE at the 5th Annual Las Culturistas Cultural Awards at the United Theater in Los Angeles, the actress explained what it was like to meet her idol. In a recent SNL episode, she repeatedly mentioned that her famous mullet was inspired by McCartney.When they finally had the chance to interact in a later episode, that was the first thing he noticed. “So, I was talking a little bit about how I got a Wings-era mullet, so he came up to me after the show and pulled out my mullet and said, ‘Is that real or is that a wig?'” Sherman recalls.She laughed and told him it was real and her hair.Sherman later posted about the moment on social media, joking that she would never wash a mullet again. She also discussed the incident on Jimmy Kimmel Live! , to which the host commented, “I think it’s very rare for a mullet to be pulled by a Beatle.”The Pizza Movie actress responded jokingly, saying, “Darling, he can do whatever he wants to me.”

In the same interview, the actress also shared how she confessed her long-standing crush on the veteran musician.
“And then, I said, ‘Paul McCartney, I love you, you’re great,'” she said. Like, ‘McCartney II is my favorite album of all time, and ‘Temporary Secretary’ is my favorite song.’ And then I said, ‘I’m sorry I flatter you so much.’ And he said, ‘I like flattery. Flatter me. Flatter me.'”Sherman has been a regular cast member on Saturday Night Live since joining the sketch comedy show in 2021. Over the years, she has become a fan favorite thanks to her unique comedic style and memorable performances.
