The NEET-UG re-examination concluded on Sunday with students describing physics emerging as the most challenging section while biology was largely considered easy to moderate, and chemistry ranged from easy to difficult.

Students from Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kerala and Jammu and Kashmir said that overall the paper was more difficult than the previous attempt, although experiences varied depending on the strength of the topic.
While some found the test moderate and easy, others said it tested their levels of time management and preparation, especially in physics.

Despite differing views on the difficulty, students said examination arrangements were smooth at the centers and expressed cautious optimism about their performance.
Speaking to ANI, a student from Chennai said, “Biology was good. Physics and Chemistry were tough. The first NEET exam was easy; this one was tougher.”
“The exam was good. Biology was easy, physics and chemistry were average. The exam was better last time,” said a candidate from West Bengal.
A candidate from Thiruvananthapuram said: “The exam was difficult, moderate to difficult. Physics was difficult. Chemistry was doable but time-consuming. Biology was doable.”
A candidate from Jammu and Kashmir said: “The studies were very good. My preparation was good. Only physics was a bit difficult. Overall, it was a good experience.”

Another candidate from Ranchi said: “The exam was easy to moderate. Biology was easier, chemistry was moderate and physics was more difficult than last time.”
Tarun, another candidate from Chennai, said, “I did well but let’s see. The exam was tougher than last time.”
Another student said: “It was a little tougher than last time. It was my first attempt, and I was expecting around 500 marks. The arrangements inside were good.”
A candidate from Indore said: “My exam went well… The exam was average. The biology exam was good. The physics exam was long, but it was easy to manage…”
A candidate from Pune, Maharashtra, said: “The exam was easy… Physics was difficult. It was formula based… There was more checking and inspection this time. A metal detector was used…”
Nearly over 22 lakh students appeared for the re-test of NEET-UG 2026 held today, across the country and in 14 destinations abroad, after the initial exam was canceled on May 3 due to allegations of paper leak.
The re-examination was necessary in the wake of the alleged paper leakage case, which is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The agency made several arrests in connection with the case.
