When you return from a relaxing summer vacation, you may hear: “You look refreshed.” But coming home after a vacation to a luxury hotel to have plastic surgery – you’re likely to elicit: “You look like brand new!” Since Los Angeles is the undisputed American capital of surgical rejuvenation, many of the city’s luxury hotels offer a few semi-relaxing days to recover from any kind of radical lift: face, breast, butt, eye, forehead, neck, brow—not only in style but also in privacy and, most important of all, comfort. There is nothing better than an invasive cosmetic procedure that lasts for hours with anesthesia to justify intense pampering. Jell-O, or rich juice if you prefer, is just a bell away.

The Four Seasons, Peninsula, Beverly Hills Hotel, Fairmont Century City, SLS and Luxe Inn Brentwood/Bel Air are among the Los Angeles hotels that offer 24/7 facilities and nursing specifically for post-plastic surgery care. These private rooms or suites are booked well in advance, either through our team of professional doctors or through dedicated recovery concierge services such as Calicia Care.

Dr. Daniel Gould, MD, PhD. Specializing in maternity beauty, she relies on two aftercare facilities, Immortelle at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills on Doheny Drive and Luxe Serenity on Sunset Boulevard. They both dedicate space to post-op care, with nutritionists on staff, organic foods, and all the advanced therapeutic treatments. “Aftercare is only as good as the nurses,” Gould says. “I get excellent feedback from my patients about these two. I trust them to take care of my family.”

Dr. Julius Few, a top plastic surgeon who shuttles between Chicago and Los Angeles and has worked with Gwyneth Paltrow, sends patients to the Four Seasons or the Peninsula in either city. Celebrity surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher (clients include the Kardashians) recommends a variety: Four Seasons, The Peninsula, Beverly Hills Hotel Cottages, Waldorf Astoria at Beverly Hills, Maybourne Beverly Hills, and Mosaic. Surgeon Ben Talley—famous for deep-plane rejuvenation and natural-looking results on models and actresses—works closely with Aura After Care, its own separate hotel facility located at 10251 Wilshire Blvd. In Westwood, with luxurious rooms, patios and good views. It also offers services such as LED red light therapy, intravenous shunt devices, and oxygen therapy.

Calicia Care books rooms at the Kimpton LaPeer, says Erika Maldonado, who co-founded the 5-year-old concierge service with her sister, Lexi. They offer several options for rooms or suites and reserve black cars to pick up patients, take them to the facility and take them to post-operative appointments. “The nurses we book in stay in the room with the patient for at least the first night,” Maldonado says. “We have a number of celebrities who are suddenly coming back.”

Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Randall Haworth of the Haworth Institute (former star of the Fox reality show Makeover The swan) He recommends patients go to hotels closest to his office and operating rooms: “That means the Peninsula, the Four Seasons in Doheny, and the Lux Hotel near Brentwood.” Dr. Michelle Lee (famous for breast augmentation) of PERK Plastic Surgery partners with Peninsula because the hotel’s aftercare service offers 24-hour care and pre- and post-op treatments like IV therapy, hyperbaric oxygen, and lymphatic massage.

One of Dr. Haworth’s patients describes her experience at Lux as “seamless. All of my facelift recovery needs were met without me asking. I honestly think this saved my marriage. I didn’t want my husband to see what I looked like right after surgery.”

What is the cost of this beautiful hotel stay? Prices vary depending on room size, but expect between $2,000 and $3,000 per night. This includes 24-hour nursing, a private exam room, meals prepared by chefs, and transportation with or without a stretcher. It’s not cheap, but it’s a relative steal when the average facelift hits the six figures.

One upgrade coming to the Los Angeles hotel’s aftercare: The Aman Beverly Hills hotel, currently under construction and expected to open in 2028, will supposedly include not only an entire luxury floor for plastic surgery recovery but also actual operating rooms and a private garden for patients and on-call surgeons only. Hotel PR can’t confirm this, but the buzz around town is.

After their hotel stay, patients expect to come out looking prettier than when they checked in. “It’s the only way to go,” says one recent recovery guest at the hotel. “You may be hurting, but at least you’re in very good company.”
