External banks It returns to Netflix for one last outing.
Netflix dropped the first teaser and first look photos for the fifth and final season of the mystery-adventure drama on Thursday morning. It is scheduled to be released on the platform on August 20.
Tensions and emotions are high for OBX gang in the first roughly one-minute teaser. “Let’s go get this son of a bitch,” Chase Stokes’ John B. says to the camera before a series of action-packed sneak peeks at next season’s play.
“Season five finds the Pogues at their absolute breaking point after the tragic loss of JJ in Morocco,” the season synopsis reads. “Stranded far from home and heartbroken by their crew, they have lost the Blue Crown and are still challenged by familiar threats.”
The synopsis continues, “With Chandler Grove still on the loose, Dahlia and the Pirates locked down, and ensuring there’s no home for the Pogues to return to, John B, Sarah, Kiara, Bob, and Cleo must rely on their pessimistic instincts — and an uneasy alliance with Rafe — to avoid falling apart forever. Their mission now is a desperate race to reclaim their future and finally win the freedom they’ve been chasing since the beginning. They take on the world as they seek revenge on their best friend and bring him home… one last time.”
Stokes stars as John B. He is joined by Madeline Klein as Sarah Cameron, Madison Bailey as Kiara, Jonathan Davis as Bob, Karlasia Grant as Cleo, Drew Starkey as Ravi, Austin North as Topper, Fiona Palomo as Sofia, J. Anthony Crane as Chandler Grove, and Colin Moss as Shub. Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke serve as creators and executive producers of the show.
