The police said the dead were identified as Udaram (39), Rekharam (35), Gujaram (31) and Vishnaram (29), residents of Koduka village. The four were brothers and worked as construction workers, traveling to the village of Kaliwa to work.

The police said that the force of the accident led to the car burning, and the four died instantly. The bus also collided with a motorcycle parked on the side of the road, but its rider escaped unharmed.

The police, with the help of local residents, were able to recover the bodies and transport them to the morgue of Pataudi Hospital. A case has been registered and the causes of the accident are being investigated.

The incident sparked protests, with angry villagers and family members blocking Pataudi Road and demanding the arrest of the bus driver and compensation to the families of the victims. Pachpadra station house officer (SHO) Geeta Kumari reached the spot and held talks with the protesters.

The deceased left behind his elderly parents, three widows and many children. Gugaram, who was single and had a speech impediment, was also among those killed.

In a separate accident in Pali district, two people died and a woman was injured after a car lost control, hit a barrier, crossed into the oncoming lane and overturned in a roadside ditch near Mandya bypass on the Pali-Jodhpur Expressway around 7am.

The two deceased were identified as Kosha (50) and Anand Kumar (55), both residents of Bhanwad in Jodhpur district. Asha (50 years old) was injured and is receiving treatment at Bangor Hospital.

The three were traveling from Jodhpur to Sirohi when the accident occurred, police said. Investigators are examining whether the driver lost control while trying to avoid an animal on the road or whether there was another factor that caused the accident.
