Ethan Klein He paid an emotional tribute to his friend Trey in a long X-shaped post. “I’m in disbelief… I’m still desperate to believe this is part of an elaborate prank.” Clean started. “That seems like something he would do, doesn’t it? The truth is, no matter how much I don’t want to believe it, my friend Oliver is dead.”
“Oliver had a unique spirit,” Klein continued, “and he had an ability unmatched by anyone else I know: to make friends all over the world. And genuine friendship, too, not just the convenience of online friendships.” “He spent the last year traveling the world. Traveling through every inch. Visiting places I never dreamed of visiting. He wanted to know the world and all the people in it, and all the different kinds of ways people live, so that he could become a more profound artist. I saw him develop and grow and mature, and the essence of what he had gathered was clear: love, friendship, and art. All things that transcended borders and time. Last we spoke, he was planning to go to Antarctica.”
Klein concluded by saying, “I hope I can be like Oliver Tree when I grow up. Bon voyage my friend. See you on the other side. Life goes on and on without you.”
