Mohsin Akhtar, Urmila Matondkar’s ex-husband, has announced that he has tied the knot again. Taking to his Instagram account on Sunday, Mohsin shared a series of photos from his wedding and introduced his wife Nida Bhatt to his followers.Along with the photos, Mohsen wrote a sincere message expressing his gratitude for finding love again and starting a new chapter in his life.“Pure intentions, sincere love, and a heart full of patience and gratitude. Keep us in your prayers.”This announcement comes months after reports emerged that Mohsin’s marriage to actor Urmila Matondkar had ended.
Speculations about trouble in their relationship first surfaced in 2024, with reports later claiming that Urmila had filed for divorce in a Mumbai court in September that year.Urmila and Mohsin got married on February 4, 2016, in an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family. Their union attracted much attention at the time due to their interfaith marriage and their nearly 10-year age difference.Mohsin, a businessman and model from Kashmir, reportedly met Urmila at the wedding of designer Manish Malhotra’s niece in 2014. The relationship between the couple blossomed soon after, and they eventually exchanged vows in a private ceremony. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra was among the few celebrities who attended their wedding. The couple also visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar and later celebrated their marriage with a nikah ceremony.Meanwhile, Urmila remains one of the most popular Bollywood actresses.
