A grand historical epic chronicling the life and towering legacy of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose has been officially announced. Titled ‘Subhash – The Netaji Story’, the ambitious biographical drama will feature rising actor Aryan Shyam in the lead role, directed by Anand V.
Prasad. Backed by the eminent Gemini Film Circuit, the film promises a wide-ranging and deeply researched cinematic look at Bose’s dream, courage and legendary leadership of the Indian National Army (INA).
Legacy of Nationalism Adds meaning to the casting
The casting of actor Aryan Shyam carries a deep meaning for the film, given his deep-rooted family heritage. It was his great-grandfather, V. Krishnaswami Iyer was instrumental in supporting India’s economic self-reliance during British colonial rule.

Disturbed by the decline in the number of young people entering the armed forces, Prasad believes Bose’s story can motivate the next generation to serve their country. The project is currently in pre-production, with cameras scheduled to roll later this year ahead of a multilingual global release.
