'Touch it and get shocked': Aishwarya Rajesh explains the strange electrical twist in 'Oh Sukumari'

Aishwarya Rajesh was last seen in the 2025 Sankranti blockbuster ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’ and is gearing up for the release of her latest film ‘Oh Sukumair’. Recently, during the teaser of the film, the actress spoke about why she took a break after her previous film and how she chose this new project.

Aishwarya Rajesh waited for the right script after the huge success

According to a report by Cinema Express, Aishwarya Rajesh shared that she did not want to rush into signing films right after the success of Anil Ravipudi’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam. She wanted to wait for a story that would really excite her.“I took my own time to prepare a good topic and signed O Sukumari after Sankranthiki Vastunam,” she said.The actress also shared that expectations for her films were there even before the success of the Sankranti film.

She said the audience always expected something different from her performance. “It’s not Sankranthiki Vastunam, but before that people expected something from me too, when I was doing my films,” she said.

About “Oh Sukumari”

The actress also spoke about her upcoming film ‘Oh Sukumari’ which will bring a new twist that the South Indian audience has never seen before. “This is definitely an entertaining film and whether I live up to expectations or not is for the audience to decide,” she said.

She further added that the story stood out because of its unusual concept. Referring to her previous film ‘DeAr’, she said that the film dealt with the issue of snoring, while ‘Oh Sukumari’ brings a completely different twist.“In my previous film DeAr, I faced the problem of snoring and in this, if anyone touches the heroine, they will go into shock, which I felt was something different,” Aishwarya Rajesh said.

The actress turned down many offers before choosing Oh Sukumari.

The actress revealed that she received many offers after the success of Sankranthiki Vasthunam, but chose to wait for the right project.“After huge success, I definitely got a lot of offers and I waited for a good subject and I liked Oh Sukumari and I signed it. This is my next film after Sankranthiki Vastunam,” she said.
