As the All India Students Association (AISA) on Saturday alleged irregularities in the CUET-PG exams, the National Testing Agency (NTA) rejected the claims and issued a clarification, saying the exams were conducted on a different date for students who could not appear on the scheduled dates for “reasons completely beyond their control”.

This comes at a time when the NTA is already under fire for alleged examination irregularities linked to the alleged NEET paper leak scam and other irregularities.
“For CUET (PG), NTA’s policy is to report the absolute marks of every candidate, in every subject. No candidate’s marks are normalized – neither in the main exam, nor in the rescheduled exam. So there was nothing that the rescheduled candidates were exempted from; they were scored on exactly the same basis as everyone else,” NTA said on X.
In protest against the alleged violations
AISA members wearing cockroach masks protested in various parts of Delhi against alleged irregularities in examinations and alleged “increasing lack of accountability” in the education sector.
The protests, which took place in Delhi University’s North Campus, Kamla Nagar, Patel Chest, Gurmandi and Vijaynagar, were part of the student group’s week-long awareness programme, news agency PTI reported.

According to AISA, students and local residents participated in the protests, with activists highlighting issues related to exam administration, paper “leaks” and the functioning of the NTA.
The protesters raised slogans demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, cancellation of NTA and withdrawal of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

In a statement, Delhi University AISA trustee Anjali said the alleged irregularities in exams like NEET-UG and CUET have adversely affected students and called for more accountability in the education system.
AISA claimed that Delhi Police personnel initially tried to stop the campaign, but it continued as scheduled.
She said similar campaigns will continue in different parts of the city in the coming days as part of the national mobilization on education-related issues.
