ETimes review of Mohanlal
ETimes gave the film 3 stars out of 5 and noted, “The film has difficulty with pacing. The narrative takes too long to establish its emotional conflict, and the suspense is not built organically for a large portion of the runtime.”
The challenge is understandable. The audience already knows crime, family and emotional stakes. But in trying to create another layer on top of an already complete story, the screenplay sometimes feels stretched.
The original film had a conclusion within its moral ambiguity, while the sequel effectively expanded the psychological consequences. This third act often feels like a continuation driven more by the weight of a successful franchise than by the urgency of storytelling.Drishyam 3 features Mohanlal in the role of Georgekutty, and reunites the actor with director Jeethu Joseph for another action-packed chapter.
