Stand-up comedian Praneet More has finally spoken out about the controversy surrounding Himanshu Jangra, the 22-year-old from Gurugram who sparked outrage with his now-viral “Rs 370 biryani” comment during one of More’s comedy shows.
While Moore has already issued an apology, he has now admitted that he had the power to stop Jangra from making the offensive remarks but failed to do so, as he got carried away the moment he saw the audience laughing.
Praneet More takes to social media and says he deserves the hate
On Saturday, Moore, whose Instagram account was previously suspended, returned to social media with a video in which he publicly agreed that the criticism coming his way is completely deserved. The controversial incident took place at Moore’s stand-up show in Gurugram, where the accused individuals reportedly made objectionable comments. A police official confirmed that the Maharashtra Cyber Police remains vigilant in monitoring online platforms and will continue to take strict action against any content that violates the law or is harmful to public order and dignity.
