Vijay 'Jana Nayagan' Leak: Cyber ​​Crime Officials Arrest Key Accused After Digital Investigation

The Tamil Nadu Cyber ​​Crime Wing has arrested the alleged accused behind online leaking of stills from Vijay’s yet-to-be-released film ‘Jana Nayagan’, directed by H Vinoth. The arrest comes months after clips from the film, which was not released, appeared on social media platforms.According to India Today and the Cyber ​​Crime Wing, the accused was missing for some time before officials tracked him down and arrested him on June 10. In addition, another person linked to the hacking network has also been detained.With these latest arrests, the total number of people arrested in this case reaches 19 people.

The investigation began after the footage was leaked online

The case began in April after the makers of “Jana Nayagan” complained that footage from the film was being accessed and shared online without permission.

The leaked clips quickly spread online on social media and other sites.The team expressed concern about the leak as the film is still awaiting its official release. Officials said the latest arrests took place after detailed digital tracking and investigation. The newly arrested person is believed to have played an important role in sharing the leaked footage online.

‘Jana Nayagan’ movie release delayed

For the uninitiated, earlier, several people were arrested during the investigation, including a freelance editor accused of accessing and sharing the footage.

The issue also affected the editorial department. Editor Pradeep E Raghav has been suspended by the Society of Editors for working with a freelance editor who was not registered with the organisation. But the association said that Raghav was not directly involved in the leak.On the other hand, ‘Jana Nayagan’ is still awaiting clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The makers have not yet announced a new release date for the film.
