Bridget Mendler has quietly returned to music.
The former Disney star, who left Hollywood nearly a decade ago to focus on her academics and pursue a career in technology, dropped a bombshell on Friday. Titled once again..featuring six new tracks, including “Flowers,” “Cold,” “Mercy,” “Long Run,” “Devotions,” and “Oxygen.”
She doesn’t appear to be promoting the EP on her social media, as her last Instagram post was in 2022.
The last time Mendler released an album was in 2012 with hello my name is…Which included fan favorites “Ready or Not” and “Hurricane.” She also dropped a few singles after that, including her latest, “Drive,” in 2017.
Mendler was initially known for her roles in the Disney Channel series Good luck Charlie and Wizards of Waverly Place. She also starred alongside Naomi Scott, Hayley Kiyoko, and Adam Hicks in the 2011 Disney film lemonade mouth.
after Good luck Charlie In 2014, she has appeared in a few other projects over the years, including shows Undateable and Happy happy no matter whatas well as the TV movie Thin ice. But she eventually moved away from the entertainment industry to focus on her academic studies.
Mendler has numerous professional degrees, including an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California, a master’s degree from MIT and a JD from Harvard Law School. She started working on her PhD at MIT in 2020, but postponed it.
She later co-founded Northwood Space in 2023 with her husband, Griffin Cleverly, and engineer Shaurya Luthra, and currently serves as CEO. The company is a California-based aerospace startup that builds satellite communications infrastructure.
