Buchi Babu Sana’s sports action drama “Peddi”, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, entered its first weekday slump after a strong opening weekend. Released in theaters on June 4 after a paid premiere on June 3, the film opened to mixed reviews.According to Sacnilk, ‘Peddi’ has collected a net collection of Rs 7.55 crore in India on its seventh day. The film registered this collection across 7,535 screenings nationwide. The 7th day figure represents a 22.2% decline from the 6th day collection of Rs 9.70 lakh crore.
India collections close to Rs 190 crore net
Despite the decline in collections, ‘Peddi’ continues to maintain an overall strong performance at the box office. The film’s total net collection in India rose to Rs 187.25 crore. The film’s total collection in India now stands at Rs 222.53 crore.
The overseas market adds to the strong global total
The performance of ‘Peddi’ has also been steady in overseas territories. On the seventh day, the film added Rs 80 lakh from international markets. This took its total overseas collection to Rs 48.80 crore. The film’s worldwide gross collection has now reached Rs 271.33 crore.
The Telugu version continues to lead in occupancy
‘Peddi’ recorded an overall Telugu occupancy of 21.58%. The film recorded an occupancy rate of 15.15% during morning showings, improving to 24.46% in the afternoon.
Evening shows recorded 25.15%, while night shows closed at 21.54%.The Hindi version saw a lower overall occupancy of 9.25% with the morning occupancy standing at 5.33% while the afternoon and evening shows recorded 9.42% each. Night shows performed comparatively better with 12.42% occupancy.Andhra Pradesh and Telangana markets once again emerged as the biggest contributors to the film on the 7th. The district generated a total of Rs 6.50 lakh crore.Karnataka followed with Rs 60 lakh while Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 25 lakh. Kerala added Rs 5 lakh and rest of India brought in Rs 1.49 lakh.
