The answers are out there, and NewsNation aims to find them.
The right-wing media network (they say “totally centrist”) is airing a special on Saturday called Reality Check: The Path to Disclosurehosted by Ross Coulthart from the Australian premiere of Steven Spielberg’s film Disclosure day. The hour-long special borrows from Coulthart Reality check Podcast title; NewsNation has already borrowed its premise for a companion series Not reported with Megan Medic. Colhart is a big name in the Disclosure Movement, a social and political campaign pushing for the declassification and release of classified files relating to UFOs, unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), and non-human intelligence – however, it is last NewsNation correspondent Jessica Cartaleja serves as a bridge here between the blockbuster Hollywood channel and the satellite news channel.
Cartaleja played a TV anchor (the highly coveted “Anchor 2” role) in the film, which starred Josh O’Connor, Emily Blunt, Colman Domingo, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Wyatt Russell. (None of them played “Anchor 1,” in case you were wondering — that was ABC News freelance anchor Lionel Moyes.) Kartalija also appeared in House of cards And HBO Servant.
“While UAPs are part of the national conversation, they are part of Disclosure day “It’s surreal,” Kartaleja said. Hollywood Reporter. “Having the opportunity to work with Spielberg was (pun intended) completely out of this world.”
“I think Steven Spielberg is a brilliant storyteller. I liked the way he brought in psychologists,” Coulthart said. THR. “It brought the dangers of a catastrophic reveal… It’s a beautiful movie. It’s very moving. I won’t deny that I had little tears in my eyes at the end of the movie because I cared so deeply about the message it was conveying. The message it gave was that the audience has a right to know that we’re not alone.”
Reality Check: The Path to Disclosure It will include an interview with Spielberg as well – but not the original. NewsNation will borrow that from KTLA, the Fox affiliate in Los Angeles. Nexstar owns both channels.
NewsNation describes the special as “a cinematic investigative journey through the history of UFO detection. From ancient sightings and the ‘Roswell Incident’ to modern-day whistleblowers, congressional hearings, and declassified files, the special will explore the people, events, and unanswered questions that fuel the global fascination with unexplained phenomena.”
