Day 13 of 'Blast' box office collections: Arjun Sarja's action thriller has grossed Rs 57.36 crore worldwide; The film is static

Arjun Sarja’s martial arts thriller ‘Blast’ continues to add to its box office totals despite a decline in its collections during its second week. The film is directed by debutant Subash K.

Raj has managed to keep the audience’s interest with his action-packed narration and family-centric story. The film revolves around Rajaram, a karate teacher who lives with his wife Neelaveni and daughter Neela. Their peaceful life takes a dramatic turn when a powerful corporate syndicate threatens their family.

The “explosion” group for day 13 sees an expected decline

According to Sacnilk, ‘Blast’ has collected a net collection of Rs 1.04 crore in India on day 13. This represents a 28.3 percent drop from the net Rs 1.45 crore it collected on day 12.

This decline is not unusual for a film entering its second week. Despite the decline, the film managed to maintain a respectable theatrical run.“Blast” opened in 1,491 shows Tuesday. The film recorded an overall occupancy rate of 20.19 percent in the Tamil version. Night shows generated the strongest response with an occupancy rate of 26.15 percent.

Blast’s global tally stands at Rs 57.36 crore

“Blast’s global total collection now stands at Rs 57.36 crore.”

In India, the film has collected Rs 38.23 crore in net collections so far. Its total domestic collection has reached Rs 43.96 crore. The international regions generated Rs 13.40 lakh crore in total collections. The film enjoyed a healthy start during its opening week. ‘Blast’ has generated a net revenue of Rs 25.78 crore during its first seven days in theatres. The Seventh Day alone contributed a net amount of Rs 2.75 crore. The film maintained good momentum during the first week before entering the expected slowdown phase.Even in its second week, the collections remained steady enough to help the film approach the India net mark of Rs 40 crore.

The action sequence receives positive response

One of the biggest talking points surrounding “Blast” was the action choreography. The ETimes review said, “The best thing about Blast, however, is in the small details. For example, the biggest twist in the film doesn’t come from Arjun or Preity. And I know who you’re thinking, it’s not from Abhirami either.”

Instead, the film hands over the bulk of the action entirely to a fourth person, which makes for an interesting setup.

From Preity’s amazing introductory fight scene, the film has an action segment every five to ten minutes. However, they only become redundant in very few cases, thanks to dramatic and predictable fluctuations.Disclaimer: Box office numbers and data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
