‘Lord of the Rings’ films celebrate 25 years with Elijah Wood and more at CCXP

As time continues, Lord of the Rings The film franchise is set to bring fans together in honor of its 25th anniversary.

Elijah Wood is the first guest announced for the upcoming CCXP26 fan event taking place later this year in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Under the theme “Fellowship Forever,” this year’s CCXP will be held Dec. 3-6, and Wood is scheduled to participate in a panel on Dec. 3-4, along with photo and autograph sessions on each date.

Wood was twenty years old when he appeared on screen as Frodo Baggins The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ringwhich was released theatrically on December 19, 2001, and also starred Ian McKellen, Liv Tyler, Viggo Mortensen, Sean Astin, Cate Blanchett and Orlando Bloom. Based on the writings of J. R. R. Tolkien, the film was the first in director Peter Jackson’s trilogy that collectively grossed more than $2.9 billion at the global box office and earned 17 Academy Awards.

“CCXP has a tradition of celebrating major milestones in popular culture alongside the people who experienced them from the inside,” Roberto Fabbri, vice president of content at CCXP, said in a statement. “In 2025, it was Road to Hell and its 20th anniversary supernatural. Now, in 2026, it is Lord of the Rings He’s 25 years old, and there’s no better way to start this celebration than with Frodo himself. Elijah Wood at CCXP26 is exactly the kind of announcement we’d make knowing festival fans were eager to hear.

Wood is also known for features such as Sin City, Happy feet and Ready or Not 2: Here I comealong with series such as Wilfred and Yellow vests.

Last year’s CCXP included a viral moment when Timothée Chalamet showed off his dance moves to “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” while promoting his film. Marty Supreme.

Other notable presentations in 2025 included supernatural Reunions, and conversations with stars like Kathryn Newton and Selton Melo Lord of the Rings Dominic Monaghan’s distinguished work, and paintings for projects such as Him: Welcome to Derry, Boys, Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Anaconda, Secret agent and Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
