Jagapati Babu extends his support to Janhvi Kapoor
As the discussion around Buchi Babu Sana’s ‘Peddi’ continues to gain momentum online, co-star Jagapathi Babu has taken a firm stand in support of Janhvi Kapoor. The veteran actor, who plays the role of Appalasuri in the film, stated that Janhvi should not be held responsible for the creative decisions which was ultimately the director’s call.Speaking to Telugu360 Digital, Jagapathi Babu said, “As an artiste, the only thing I would say is please don’t target the actor.
It is unfair to pursue that girl. “We don’t know what her personal opinions are or whether she agrees with every creative decision.”The 64-year-old explained that actors often relinquish creative control once they put their trust in a director’s vision. “It’s not like she paid for it herself. She did what the director asked her to do. When an actor signs on and trusts the director’s vision, he follows that vision,” he said.
We do what the director tells us. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Buchi Babu may have his own reasons.
I support Janhvi on this.”He added: “If you like the movie or don’t like it, comment on it. But do not single out an artist, attack him, or cause him mental disorder.”
