Coal India MT Recruitment 2026: Registration for 660 Management Trainee Posts will end soon; Direct link to apply here

Coal India Limited (CIL) will soon close the online application process for the recruitment of Management Trainees (MT) 2026. Interested and eligible candidates who are yet to apply can submit their applications through the official website, coalindia.in, before the registration deadline of 11 June 2026.Through this recruitment drive, Coal India aims to fill a total of 660 vacancies for management trainees across various disciplines.Candidates are advised to complete the application process as soon as possible to avoid last-minute technical issues.

Eligibility criteria

The educational qualification varies according to the specialty.

  • For Rajbhasha posts, candidates must have a Master of Arts degree in Hindi with a minimum of 60 per cent. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree who are studying Hindi and English as their core subjects and with at least 50 per cent marks are also eligible.
  • For Company Secretary positions, candidates must have a postgraduate degree in any discipline along with a valid Company Secretary qualification. Applicants must also be an associate member or fellow of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

Candidates are advised to check the detailed notification of eligibility requirements in terms of discipline before applying.

Selection process

Selection will be based on Computer Based Test (CBT).The exam consists of two papers, each containing 100 objective questions. Each correct answer will carry one mark.The first paper will include questions from:

  • Public knowledge and awareness
  • The ability to reason
  • Numerical ability
  • General English

The examination will be conducted for three hours.There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. Questions left unanswered will not result in any penalty.

Application fee

Candidates belonging to General Classes (UR), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economic Weaker Section (EWS) are required to pay an application fee of Rs 1,180.

However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Standard Disabilities (PwBD) categories, as well as employees of Coal India and employees of its subsidiaries, are exempted from paying the application fee.
