Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Secretary Venoj P Selvam on Sunday called the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) as ‘DMK 2.0’ in a new, updated package.

Speaking to ANI, Selvam said: “Both parties, DMK and TVK, are collaborators in destroying Tamil Nadu. And when people thought they were voting for change, they ended up voting for DMK 2.0 in a new and very refreshed package.”
Selvam added that the law and order situation in Tamil Nadu has become worse under the TVK regime than it was under the DMK regime. He further stressed that all allies of the DMK are in alliance with TVK to ensure the survival of an apparently ineffective government in the state.

“We are seeing people sitting in tens of hundreds on roads, demanding restoration of power supply, or repair of water connections. The law and order situation seems to be worse than it was during the previous DMK regime. All the DMK allies have come together, allied themselves with TVK to ensure that there is a government that seems very ineffective, unable to take any stands, nor fight for Tamil Nadu’s position on very critical issues, like Mekedatu against the Karnataka Congress government,” he said.
It is worth noting that the conflict over water sharing in Mekedatu is a long-standing issue between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu in connection with the proposed project. $9000 Crore Balancing Reservoir Project on Cauvery River.

Selvam said former Tamil Nadu CM Stalin is trying to threaten the TVK government as those parties which have allied with TVK to form an anti-Hindu front in the state are at the mercy of the DMK.
“Perhaps Stalin is trying to threaten the TVK government because he has the upper hand, and all these former partners and parties that would otherwise not be able to get a deposit on their own, and which won at the mercy of the DMK, are now allied with TVK to form an anti-Hindu front in Tamil Nadu. The DMK and TVK have no future as far as Tamil Nadu is concerned,” he said.

The BJP state minister added that the DMK and TVK will be exposed very soon and people will actually go for real change and this real change will be in the form of BJP forming a government, giving the people of the state good governance.
