Day 23 'Karuppu' box office collections: Suriya Starrer starrer jumps 62.7 percent; The film has crossed 300 crores worldwide

The Suriya and Trisha Krishnan starrer Karuppu continued its successful theatrical run and registered a strong jump in the collections on its fourth Saturday. The film witnessed a significant increase in numbers after showing stable performance over the previous days.

‘Karuppu’ registers huge jump on day 23

According to Sacnilk, ‘Karuppu’ earned a net collection of Rs 1.35 lakh on Day 23. The latest figure represents a growth of 62.7 percent over Day 22’s collection of Rs 83 lakh.The film collected the amount from 931 shows across languages. After the latest update, the film’s total net collection in India has now reached Rs 191.53 crore. Its total collection in India rose to Rs 221.40 crore.

The global total exceeds Rs 300 crore

‘Karuppu’ collected Rs 20 lakh overseas on day 23. Its total overseas collection has now reached Rs 80.40 crore.‘Karuppu’ has now crossed Rs 300 crore worldwide and currently has a gross collection of Rs 301.80 crore. The film has already built a good foundation during its opening week. It collected Rs 113.85 crore during its first week before maintaining steady numbers in the following weeks.

The Tamil version remains the major contributor

The Tamil version continued to lead the film’s overall business. On day 23, I contributed Rs 1.25 crore,The Telugu version added Rs 10 lakh to the total. Occupancy figures also showed greater audience demand for Tamil shows.

Karuppu recorded a total Tamil occupancy of 41.12 percent on day 23. The morning shows started with 12.55 percent and later increased throughout the day. Night shows recorded the highest response with an occupancy rate of 48.09 percent.Government reports also showed Tamil Nadu leading collections with a total of Rs 1.35 lakh crore on day 23.‘Karuppu’ collected Rs 21.20 crore during its third week. The fourth week started with Rs 83 lakh on Friday before Saturday’s numbers showed a significant rise.
