According to IANS, Anu Malik shared the memory during an exclusive conversation with the news agency. He said that Dharmendra, who is often called the ‘Man of Bollywood’, was very fond of ‘Pal Pal Na Mane Tinku Jiya’ from the movie ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’.Anu said, “I have always enjoyed a very homely relationship with Dharam ji (Dharmendra).

I was very close to Sunny (Deol). I even provided music for his second film, “Sohni Mahiwal”.The composer also recalls how Dharmendra reacted to his music. He said, “Dharam ji was very fond of my music. In fact, I once came up with a fun number, ‘Pal Na Mane Tinku Jiya’, and Dharam ji was very happy, and he loved that song. He also loved my rhythmic numbers. He treated me, just like a family member, and hence we used to meet often.”

Anu also said that he had a huge crush on Dharmendra while growing up. He shared, “Due to the fact that we grew up watching and admiring his songs, I used to always be at his feet. I would even ask him how a certain song of his was filmed. However, he didn’t use to say anything and would just keep looking at me.”The composer then spoke about working with Hema Malini. “My first association with Hema ji was in the film Maarg. Then we did Awaargi together, which was produced by Hema ji again,” he said.He added that Hema Malini inspired him and gave him regular feedback while composing the songs. When her film “Ek Chadar Maili Si” released, “I really fell in love with my music,” Anu said.
