According to the statement, a letter issued by the Ministry of Jal Shakti to the water resource departments of all states and union territories specifically highlighted Chhattisgarh’s implementation of M-CAD works through its own resources.
The ministry added that the initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to expanding irrigation capabilities and said other states can undertake similar work based on their own circumstances and resources.
He added that scientific management of water resources and strengthening of the agriculture sector remains among the most important priorities of the government in its vision to build a developed Chhattisgarh.
