The political satire Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) issued a clarification on Saturday, denying X’s claim that it said its founder, Abhijit Debke, demanded “VIP treatment” after landing in Delhi to participate in the planned Jantar Mantar protest.

Debki arrived in Delhi from the US to lead the CJP’s protest against alleged irregularities in the education system. Follow live updates here.
A post on X claimed that he quarreled with GMR officials in Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) has long been demanding VIP treatment. She added that Debaki asked to take the car to the airport and did not leave until this happened.
Fake news, says CJP
CJP’s official X handle debunked the claim as fake news and said that Dipke did not ask for such VIP treatment.
“We condemn such attempts to discredit and discredit our movement,” part of the post read. “This is why the CJP manifesto said the licenses of fake news sellers should be revoked!” She added.
Jantar Mantar protest
Abhijit Deepki on Saturday joined the planned demonstration at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, where he openly called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan amid the controversy over NEET-UG paper leak and discrepancies with the OSM system for evaluating CBSE Class 12 examination papers.
The planned protest was organized amid tight security measures. Hundreds of people, mostly young people, came out to participate in the demonstration, many wearing cockroach masks and carrying flowers. School students were also seen participating in the vigil with their parents.
Debaki’s flight landed at Delhi’s IGI Airport this morning from the US. In his first statements after his arrival. Debke noted that five students committed suicide.
“The education minister should resign. Five students have committed suicide,” Debki said at the airport arrivals gate, holding up the CV of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
At the Jantar Mantar protest, the majority of participants were a mix of school and college students, along with young professionals.
Dozens of students gathered at the place, chanting slogans and demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Abhijit Debaki urged his supporters to maintain discipline and ensure that the protest remains peaceful.
In the run-up to the protest, the AKP distributed guidelines urging participants to maintain nonviolent behavior and avoid confrontation. Debke’s final plea reiterated these instructions, emphasizing respectful treatment of law enforcement personnel during the demonstration.
