Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has expressed her condolences to the victims of the fire that broke out at a bed and breakfast hotel in Malviya Nagar area on Wednesday morning, killing at least 21 people and sending many to hospitals.

The Delhi Fire Department said it received information about the fire that broke out at Flourish Stay B&B in Malviya Nagar at around 8:50 am on Wednesday, prompting a major rescue operation.

Heading to X, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta extended her condolences to the bereaved families and wished speedy recovery to those injured in the fire tragedy.
“I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life in the devastating fire incident in Malviya Nagar. Rekha Gupta said on X. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. “I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured and for strength and courage for all affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.”
She said teams of Delhi Fire Services, Delhi Police, DDMA, CATS Ambulance Services and other emergency response agencies have been mobilized and rescue and relief operations have begun.
She further emphasized that the Delhi government is closely monitoring the situation and providing all required medical assistance and support.
“In this hour of grief, the Delhi government stands firmly with the affected families. We remain committed to providing all possible support to those affected by this tragedy,” she wrote on X.

Condolences have poured in from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and several other leaders over the Malviya Nagar fire incident. “The loss of lives due to a fire incident in Malviya Nagar, Delhi is tragic. My condolences to those who lost their loved ones. Wishing speedy recovery to the injured. Authorities are extending all possible assistance to those affected,” PMO handle X shared Prime Minister Modi’s statement.
As a gift from $The Prime Minister said that $200,000 from the PMNRF will be given to the next of kin of each deceased, adding that the injured will be given $50,000.
