In his attack on the Congress and the Nehru-Gandhi family, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on Wednesday described the June 3, 1947 partition plan as the “Mountbatten-Nehru-Jinnah pact” and called it the reason behind the problems that have emerged in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a post marked with an ‘X’, Dubey opined that the basis for the partition of India was laid during the meetings held in Shimla from May 10 to 12, 1947, adding that Kashmir remained separate in the agreement. He also accused the Congress of keeping Mahatma Gandhi “away from approving” the agreement, stressing that “the Nehru-Gandhi family deserves the titles of traitor, deceiver and traitor to the nation.”

“On June 3, 1947 – on exactly this day – Mountbatten announced in Delhi the creation of two nations, India and Pakistan. This declaration, built on the edifice of Nehru Ji’s debauchery, represents one of the most shameful events in world history. Its foundation was laid on May 10 and 12 in Shimla, where Nehru Ji, blinded by his love for Lady Mountbatten, set the stage. Look at this picture from Shimla. “In the Mountbatten-Nehru-Jinnah pact, Mountbatten kept Kashmir separate – a problem with which India still grapples to this day. Mahatma Gandhi was placed under house arrest, and this partition was carried out without his consent or knowledge. The Congress party, which had killed Gandhi while he was alive, committed on June 3, 1947 an act resembling that of Anna Hazare or Kejriwal. “In a sense, it is the Nehru-Gandhi family that “You deserve the titles of traitor, deceiver, and national traitor.”

Earlier on May 30, Dubey had criticized the Congress party over the MoU on water sharing with Bangladesh, claiming that decisions taken during the tenure of former prime ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi harmed the interests of Indian farmers and border states.
