Shots were reportedly fired outside the famous Khan Sir Coaching Institute in Patna, Bihar on Tuesday, wounding a security guard. A day after the alleged shooting, massive student-led protests were seen outside the training institute and tight security measures were deployed. The institute is run by popular educator and YouTuber Khan Sir.

In his reaction to his expulsion, Khan Sir blamed a nearby training institute, citing an alleged threat to “blow up” his centre. But he later said that the investigation was ongoing and that he was still unclear about the details of what happened.
According to the police, the accident occurred near Musallahpur Hatt in Patna. A guard was injured in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment. SP Kartikeya K Sharma told the news agency that I: “Further action is being taken by recording (the guard’s) statement as well as the statements of local residents.”
Was there a competing training institute?
In a clip that has now gone viral, Khan Sir is seen reacting to the dismissal, blaming people associated with a nearby training institute for the incident.
“Our security guard has also identified the culprits – they are people from the nearby training centre. We need protection; this is something the administration has to deal with… It is clear to everyone that the nearby training institute is behind this,” Khan Sir was quoted as saying by ANI.
He added: “It is clear to everyone that the nearby training institute is behind this matter. They even issued statements indicating that they will blow up the training center of Khan Sir…”
A video clip of his statements also went viral.
Khan Sir claimed that some people have an issue as to why his coaching institute charges such “low fees” and still gets good results.
“We appeal to the administration to keep security concerns in mind, while recognizing that the poor also have the right to education,” the teacher said. “When the results are in thousands, some anti-social elements tend to feel threatened. They think they can oppress us.”
CCTV surfaces
Meanwhile, a CCTV camera showed stone-throwing and vandalism from outside the training institute this morning. The clip showed some people throwing stones and pulling down banners of the Khan Sir Training Institute in Patna.
Khan Sir also claimed that the accused vandalized his office and said that CCTV footage related to the incident had been handed over to the authorities for verification.
The teacher, whose real name is reported to be Faisal Khan (but never confirmed), is a popular figure among students. He was also in the news last year when he got married in an intimate ceremony.
