I THOUGHT IT WAS A TOY GUN: Indian man in Canada says he had no idea his friend worked for Lawrence Bishnoi

An Indian man in Canada says he had no idea his friend was working for Lawrence Bishnoi.

Jashandeep Singh, an Indian man linked to extortion and shooting incidents in Canada, made some shocking revelations after his friend Arshdeep Singh was deported to India for his direct role in criminal activities in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.

Jashandeep told the immigration hearing that he was not connected to the gang, didn’t even know his college friend Arshdeep was, and that his only mistake was that he never asked his friend why he had a gun – because Jashandeep thought it was a toy gun and even took pictures with it.“It was bad for me. Why didn’t I ask them at the time?” Singh testified through a Punjabi translator. “At that point, I didn’t know that if I had the gun, they would connect me with extortion.”The Canadian administration also wants Jachandeep to be deported but he pleaded his case that he came to Canada as a student in 2022 and is now waiting for his work permit after graduation.Jashandeep Singh is currently living with his sister and brother-in-law while he awaits the decision on whether he can remain in Canada. He said he feels ashamed and cannot look into the eyes of family members.“My mother and father borrowed money and sent me here, so I could make a good future for myself,” he said.

They had so many hopes and dreams for me.”While Jachandeep pleaded not guilty, he himself admitted that he had traveled in Arshdeep’s car to a place where Arshdeep had shot in the air several times. Jachandeep said Arshdeep called him the night before and asked if he could stay the night at Jachandeep’s home in Edmonton, as the next day was his birthday.Jachandeep said he shared the house with seven to eight other men.

“Arshdeep had a bag. He took out a gun from that bag and showed it to us. I did not know whether it was a licensed or unregistered weapon,” Jashandeep Singh testified. “When I picked it up, I was just holding it, and I started joking with another friend of mine who lived at home with me. I put it on his head jokingly while we were watching movies.”

Lawrence Bishnoi’s group directly threatens Canadian police

At the extradition hearing, Detective Kevin St. Louis said they received a direct message from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang last year in which Bishnoi said he had 1,000 foot soldiers in Canada, ready to carry out shooting operations. The letter also mentioned how every company has to pay ‘taxes’ to the Bishnoi gang.
