West End Live announces its 2026 performance line-up: here's everything you need to know about the event

Mark your calendars, folks, as the official line-up for West End Live has finally been announced! As one of the world’s largest free music performance festivals, the event features classics from diverse genres over two days.

With more than 50 shows, the authorities announced the shows three weeks in advance, which will be held in Trafalgar Square on June 20 and 21, 2026. Here’s a closer look at the West End Live shows.

Disney shows are scheduled to open shows on both days, with “Hercules” premiering on Saturday, June 20, at 11 a.m. and “The Lion King” on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 12 p.m. Performances of “High School Musical” will be shown before its official opening in October.

“The Phantom of the Opera” will be screened ahead of its 40th anniversary this year. Meanwhile, this will be a one-time opportunity to watch a live stream of “Beetlejuice” with limited viewing until April 2027.

There will also be new shows this year, including “Les Misérables” and “Mamma Mia!” “Wicked”, “Magic Mike Live” and “Six”.Other shows include “Avenue Q,” “The Devil Wears Prada,” “Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage,” “Hamilton,” “Matilda The Musical,” and “Here Comes J.”

West End Life and Evolution

As the live performance continues, the show and backstage content will also be streamed online on the London theatre’s official YouTube website and other social media platforms. To round out the live viewing, there will be an online competition in advance to submit 100 quick entries per day, allowing a separate entry to attend for selected people, according to the London theatre’s official website. Furthermore, the selected winner will receive backstage access during the festival, along with a merchandise voucher and theater tokens.
