Sushmita Sen and Salman Khan share a warm relationship even today, but their first meeting on the sets of ‘Biwi No. 1’ did not start off smoothly. Salman once mentioned that Sushmita turned away from him after he arrived late for a shoot.

The actor said that he was surprised by her reaction because it was their first meeting. That moment later became a light memory between the two stars, who worked together in more films.

In an earlier interview with ETimes, Salman Khan referred to the incident in which Sushmita Sen appeared as a guest on the show ‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’, hosted by the late Farooq Sheikh. Salman said that he reached the sets late, while Sushmita was already waiting since morning.Salman said, “One day, I arrived late on the sets, on the first day of the shoot, at 11 am. Sushmita Sen was there since 9 am. So the moment I went to the sets and said ‘Hi Sush’ – that was the first time I was meeting Sush – ‘Hi Sush, how are you, Sush?’ Salman. She just shook my hand, said, “Huh,” and then walked away.The reaction left Salman confused. He said Salman then turned to director David Dhawan and asked, “What’s her problem, man? Why are you giving me an attitude?”

Salman later praised Sushmita on the same show.
