UK urges pilgrims to leave Saudi Arabia before visa expires, warns that overstaying could result in heavy fines

The UK Government has reminded British pilgrims returning from the Hajj to comply with Saudi visa regulations and leave the country within the permitted time frame.In a message following the completion of the 2026 Hajj season, the British Embassy in Saudi Arabia congratulated pilgrims on completing the annual Hajj and wished them a safe journey home.The embassy also warned travelers against overstaying their visas, noting that violations may lead to significant financial penalties and other legal complications.

“Make sure to respect your visa conditions and leave Saudi Arabia within the permitted time frame,” the embassy said in Post X.Officials advised pilgrims to familiarize themselves with the latest travel guidelines issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before leaving Saudi Arabia.This reminder comes at a time when thousands of British Muslims conclude their Hajj journey and begin their return to the United Kingdom after the end of this year’s Hajj season.
