Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday issued a strong warning against “anti-party” activities, saying those involved would not be spared and asserted that the “cancer” within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would not be allowed to spread during an event in Agartala.

“Those who oppose the party, even if it is a senior leader, will not escape. It is because discipline is hampered. Our government as well as the party are working in a very good way,” CM Saha said during an event at Rabindra Chattaparshiki Bhawan on Friday evening. “Our party has come to power twice and will certainly come again in the future.”
He added that they need to identify individuals who join the party either for their personal interests and not for their ideological commitments.
“It could be any party, because it is a chronic disease. Chronic disease does not go away. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are needed for cancer. If necessary, we will provide that. If we go in that direction, an ideal organization can be created, the way our Prime Minister is thinking,” he said.
Attacking the opposition Left Front, CM Saha said that their true face has now been exposed and they have become politically bankrupt.
CM Saha also alleged that some CPI(M)-backed content creators are trying to malign the BJP through propaganda (on social media) and some are doing it for money. “They are trying to find a loophole… but it is not the Congress party, it is not the Trinamool Congress party. It is the BJP,” he said.
