During a hearing linked to the probe on Friday, the Supreme Court was told that Prime Minister Modi was personally monitoring concerns over cancellation of NEET-UG following the paper leak controversy.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta made the request after the Supreme Court asked the government to submit an affidavit explaining the process followed in the investigation and how conclusions will be arrived at in the investigation.

“The honorable Prime Minister is personally honored,” Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the court, according to what was reported by the British newspaper “Daily Mail”. LiveLaw.

BJP reacts to Rahul Gandhi’s jibes

The ruling party responded to the Congress leader’s statements, saying that the Lok Sabha party had chosen “agitation instead of responsibility”.

“It is preposterous, outrageous and beyond logic to suggest that PM Modi personally oversaw the leak of the NEET paper. This is precisely why Rahul Gandhi is fighting to be taken seriously on matters of national importance,” BJP leader Amit Malviya wrote on X.

He repeatedly demonstrates his lack of the gravitas and maturity required to approach serious issues with the thought and sensitivity they deserve.

“Instead of standing with the students and contributing constructively, Rahul Gandhi has once again chosen agitation rather than responsibility,” he added.

BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said, “Rahul Gandhi’s problem is that so far he has not been able to understand the ‘issue’ and now he is unable to read the word ‘issue’.”

“@RahulGandhi only reads Paper Leak, and doesn’t read the word ‘issue’. This shows that they are ignorant, ‘issueless’ and ‘shameless’ to misquote,” he wrote.
