Mahesh Babu’s ‘Athidhi’ is back in theaters in an updated form. The Telugu thriller made a comeback on May 29 with a new 4K release.

Popular theaters in Hyderabad reportedly witnessed packed shows.As seen in the videos shared by fan pages, places like Sudarshan 35mm and Prasads have become major attraction points for fans. Videos from the screenings also showed cheering crowds and moments of celebration inside the theatres.Reports indicated that the Telugu pre-sales across India were around Rs 62 lakh. The film’s worldwide opening estimates were also reported to be around Rs 97 lakh.
Telangana and Andhra Pradesh reportedly played a major role in leading the groups. Overseas performance remained relatively moderate.

Apart from the film’s comeback, Mahesh Babu also grabbed attention with his public appearance on the same day. Videos of the actor at Mumbai’s Kalina airport are quickly going viral on social media.Mahesh Babu was seen wearing an all-white outfit with white and blue sunglasses and a cap.

‘Athidhi’ is a Telugu romantic thriller film directed by Surender Reddy. The film featured Mahesh Babu in the lead role alongside Amrita Rao, who made her Telugu debut through the film. Murali Sharma and Ashish Vidyarthi also appeared in important roles.The film was first released on 18 October 2007. It reportedly completed a 35-day theatrical run in nearly 400 cinemas and was later remade in Bangladesh as “Durdhorsho Premik”.
