The Gotham TV Awards are set to honor the cast Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Caroline Bissette Greetings to this year’s band.
Ryan Murphy executive produced the limited series that follows the high-profile relationship between JFK Jr. (Paul Anthony Kelly) and Bissett (Sarah Pidgeon) before the young couple died, along with Bissett’s sister, in a tragic plane crash in 1999.
The show, the most-watched limited series on Hulu and Disney+ with over 80 million hours of streaming, explores the public interest surrounding the Kennedy heir and Bisset’s rapidly rising career at Calvin Klein in New York in the 1990s.
Along with Pidgeon and Kelly, the series created by Connor Haynes, is intended to be the first installment in a series love story Selected and inspired by Elizabeth Beller’s book Once Upon a Time: The Enthralling Life of Carolyn Bessette Kennedyfeaturing Grace Gummer (Caroline Kennedy), Naomi Watts (Jackie Kennedy Onassis), Alessandro Nivola (Calvin Klein), Lyla George (Kelly Klein), Sydney Lemon (Lauren Bisset), and Constance Zimmer (Anne Marie Messina). In addition to Murphy and Hines, executive producers include Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Erik Kovtun, Nessa Diederich, Scott Robertson, Monica Levinson, Kim Rosenstock, DV DeVincentis, and Tanasi Popa.
