Dharmendra death was incredible, felt personal: Mehbooba Mufti

Mehbooba Mufti, a leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), stated on Wednesday that the death of Bollywood actor Dharmendra was difficult to believe and deeply personal.

She said, “It’s unbelievable that someone so beautiful could pass away.
It feels very personal, almost as if a part of us also died with him. For my sisters and me, he played a huge role in our childhood. He was like my mother’s heartbeat. May he rest in peace, Dharmendra ji.” She shared these remarks on X.

Kapil Sharma on Dharmendra’s death: “It was like losing my father for the second time…”

Kapil recalled how Dharmendra agreed to attend his show, even though no celebrities were initially willing to come. “
When I first came to Mumbai, we were starting our show, and no one knew what to expect. Channels and production houses were telling us which celebrities to invite and who wasn’t available. I first met Dharmendra ji on a flight to Toronto. You won’t believe it. And we became very close, making time to meet him.”

He noted Dharmendra’s special ability to connect with people despite his long career. “
I told him, ‘Paaji, I’m doing my first show,’ and I wanted him to be a guest. At that time, one of his films was just released, and he was busy. However, he told his team that this was his son and arranged a date for him.”

Kapil expressed his gratitude for the time he spent with Dharmendra and said the actor’s encouragement was especially valuable during tough times. “
After that, there were so many opportunities. I also wrote in the media that it felt like I had lost my father for the second time.”

When I lost my father, I was 22. So when you come to know about your father, my father died then. So I didn’t spend much time with him,” Kapil said during the trailer release of ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’.
