Drake has claimed nine of the top 10 on the Hot 100 for the second time in his career, a rare feat bested only by Taylor Swift, as the star has held all 10 spots three times since 2022.
Under “Janice STFU,” “Ran To Atlanta” ranked second, “Whisper My Name” came in third and “Shabang” came in fourth. Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” is the only non-Drake song to enter the top 10 this week at No. 5, and “National Treasures,” “Make Them Cry,” “Dust,” “2 Hard 4 The Radio,” and “Make Them Pay” also rounded out the top 10.
Drake’s huge week comes at a crucial time in the star’s career, as it marks his first solo release since his infamous feud with Kendrick Lamar that culminated in Lamar’s song “Not Like Us” becoming one of the biggest hits in the world. While his reputation remains somewhat weak since that decision and Drake’s subsequent decision to sue his record label and Lamar over the song’s release, Drake Snowman Era also confirms him as one of the biggest artists in music history.
The question now becomes how much music will still be around the charts next week now that the first week’s hype has subsided.
