While talking about the same in a recent interview, Levinson spoke about the direction the third season has taken so far, and how he wanted to give the audience something “horrific and unsettling.”

For the unaware, the final episode of “Euphoria” ends with Nate Jacobs being buried alive in the desert due to the debt he owes, Cassie getting kidnapped as well, and a lot of drama that was never expected.
Levinson made sure to raise the stakes with each upcoming episode. While talking to Esquire about the same, he was clear about one thing: he wants to give the audience what they want. It was just a matter of how they could deliver what they wanted.Speaking about the same, he commented, “I know what the audience wants in terms of justice or karma, and with that in mind, I always think, ‘Well, how can I give them that?’ How can I give them what they want, but make it so horrific and disturbing, that by the time it happens, the audience isn’t sure they want it?”He also added that he wants the audience to question their choices and needs from the show.
Nate Jacobs was buried alive in the scorching desert. While they give him a tube to make sure he gets some air, it ends up being the cause of his untimely death when a rattlesnake crawls through space and bites him. With Jacob’s agonizing cries for release, Levinson wanted to raise the “Oh God, I don’t know” question.

Was it worth it?” in the public’s mind.As for the snake, Levinson also shared that they used a non-venomous snake in his shots with Jacob Elordi in the coffin, although the sketchy shots showing the snake slithering up the pipe opening were all made of the real venomous species!
When will Euphoria season 3 end?
The final episode of Euphoria Season 3 will officially air on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 9:00 PM ET/PT. It will be available to stream on HBO Max. In a report recently shared by The Hollywood Reporter, the creator expressed how fans need to watch the final two episodes of the season once they air, because there will be a lot of spoilers shared online.
