Many tourists were stranded on Monday after the cable car service was halted in Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir due to a technical fault. Quoting X, the Prime Minister’s Office stated that it is aware of the incident and is monitoring it.

“The government is closely monitoring the situation at the Gulmarg gondola after the cable car service was temporarily halted due to a technical fault. All the cabins remain intact and rescue operations are underway to safely evacuate the stranded tourists with trained teams on the ground,” Omar Abdullah’s office wrote.

The government added, “The situation is completely under control, and there is no reason to panic.”
