Suriya’s Karuppu is showing no signs of slowing down at the box office. The fantasy action film, directed by RJ Balaji, registered another strong day on its second Sunday.According to Sacnilk, Karuppu has collected a net collection of Rs 14.45 crore on the 10th day. The film saw a healthy jump from its ninth day collection of Rs 12.45 crore nett. The film’s total net collection in India has reached Rs 148.55 crore.

Strong recovery for ‘Karuppu’ after its decline during the week
‘Karuppu’ saw a weekday decline after its opening weekend. The film collected a net collection of Rs 12.75 crore on the fifth day, followed by Rs 10.70 crore on the sixth day and Rs 8.10 crore on the seventh day.However, the second weekend brought renewed momentum. The ninth day grossed Rs 12.45 crore nett, while the 10th day improved to Rs 14.45 crore nett.It closed the first week with a strong total of Rs 113.85 crore. The increase in its second weekend helped the film cross the Rs 148 crore mark comfortably in India net collections.
The film was shown in thousands of screenings throughout its run. On the tenth day alone, it was shown in 5,091 shows with an overall occupancy rate of 47.7 percent.

During the interaction, the actor spoke about the making of ‘Karuppu’ and revealed some of the challenges faced by the team.The actor revealed that the production faced financial difficulties during the process of making the film.Talking about the climax song, the actor said, “We shot this climax song five months after the edit was locked.
