BJP leaders, including Union Minister Piyush Goyal, claimed that Gandhi’s “plan” was revealed after the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha said at a meeting of the Congress’ Minority Management Advisory Council on Tuesday that the Modi government would fall within a year.

“Rahul Gandhi’s statement indicates a grand conspiracy by the Congress party, along with all the opposition parties, and the cabal of tools that dream of destabilizing India, against the country. This is not an ordinary statement but a dangerous conspiracy to spread chaos in the country,” Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal wrote on X.

He also accused Goyal Gandhi and the Congress Party of “hatred for India”.

“Defaming the country, insulting constitutional institutions, going abroad to appeal to foreign powers to interfere in India’s internal affairs – reveals the true intentions of the Congress?” Goyal further added.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra also accused the Congress MP of hatching a conspiracy to topple the Modi government by inciting riots across the country.

“Leader of the Opposition (in Lok Sabha) Rahul Gandhi has once again shown boldness. In yesterday’s meeting, he said that the Modi government will fall within a year. Rahul Gandhi is trying to remove the (Modi) government by inciting riots and chaos,” Patra said in a video message.

The BJP MP added that Gandhi’s statement indicated a “foreign agenda” to “end democracy in India.”

“In India, the Constitution prevails and democracy triumphs. This is the government of 140 crore Indian citizens. Your foreign masters, including Soros, can do no harm to this country,” Batra added.

BJP leader Pradeep Bhandari also criticized Gandhi over his remarks, claiming that the Congress leader is “losing his mind again”.

In a post on X, Bhandari mocked Rahul Gandhi’s remarks and asked “what exactly is Rahul Gandhi interested in after returning from foreign trips”.
