Salman Khan brought down the house at the David Dhawan Film Festival in Mumbai on Saturday with a perfectly timed joke directed at Varun Dhawan. The star playfully invited the younger actor to recreate another of his famous songs, “Chunari Chunari” from “Biwi No.
1, for the upcoming film ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, which left Varun amused and embarrassed in front of the audience.

According to a Hindustan Times report, Salman Khan’s surprise presence emerged as the biggest talking point of the evening. Dressed in a black T-shirt, leather jacket and jeans, Salman instantly evoked his signature style of the late 90s and early 2000s. Videos of his arrival and interactions with the father-son duo quickly appeared on social media.
The moment that sent the internet into a frenzy came when Salman addressed the audience with his signature deadpan on Varun.
“Isne mera ek aur gaana uthaya,” he was heard saying, eliciting instant laughter from everyone in the room. A visibly confused Varun could only respond with “Bahi rehne do”, pleading with Salman to stop, which made it even funnier.
