There’s a new action-packed feature ready to launch on Netflix.
The streamer has got the spec script Football run From the writing team of Josh Marinette and Spencer Marinette, Hollywood Reporter I’ve learned. The project is produced by Dylan Clark and Brian Williams for Dylan Clark Productions, along with Jaume Collet-Serra and Max Jacoby for Jadis Collective.
Plot details for Football run It is being kept under wraps, but sources describe it as a nuclear weapons thriller involving the downing of Air Force One. The project was created in a competitive situation with several interested producers.
Josh and Spencer Marentette are brothers from Canada who previously sold their original show to the movement Wheels of war To Amazon with Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society producing.
Clark, Williams and Colette Serra team up for an action thriller coming to Netflix in 2024. carry Starring Taron Egerton, Jason Bateman, Sofia Carson and Daniel Deadwyler. Colette Serra directed and executive produced the film that focused on Egerton as an inexperienced TSA agent who ends up in a battle of wits with a mysterious traveler (Bateman) after the stranger blackmails him into allowing a dangerous package to board a flight on Christmas Eve.
The film, which has Clark as a producer and has Williams executive producing, ranks as the third most-watched original film of all time on Netflix. THR’The review deemed it a “satisfying surveillance thriller.”
Clark returns as a producer on director Matt Reeves’ upcoming film Batman: Part Twowhich will be released by Warner Bros. Theatrically set in 2027. Starring Robert Pattinson as the DC Comics superhero, the 2022 original has topped $770 million worldwide.
The Marentettes are repped by UTA and Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment.
