Mena Suvari, Gene Evans, and Steve Tollef to star in teen comedy The Incredible Edible (Exclusive)

A comedy film is being prepared to focus on the unexpected effect of psychedelic gum.

Mena Suvari (American beauty), Jan Evans (Bus workers), Steve Tuning (Tires), Jake Baking (Top Gun: Maverick(and Rodney J. Hobbs)Young Dylan) is set to star in Gina Meili’s teen body swap film Incredibly edible, Hollywood Reporter I’ve learned. Principal photography recently took place in Los Angeles for the project, which hails from Paillette Pictures.

Incredibly edible The film takes place during the last 24 hours before high school graduation and centers on Evans as an overachieving valedictorian who discovers that a psychedelic edible has caused her to begin switching bodies with those around her. Her experiences through the perspective of her classmates, teachers, and mother (Suvari) lead her to question the future she had planned for herself.

Marking her directorial debut, Millie directed the independent film from her own script. Producers include Millie for Paillette Pictures and Clement Power for Resonate Entertainment, along with Emily Sheehan, Andrew De Cesare and Mike Day. Susan Kartsonis and Susan Farwell are executive producers for Resonate Entertainment.

Jacqueline Alongi, John Paul Howard, Casey Burke, Kinsey Ewells, Jake Somnath, Sebastian Amoruso, Landon Boyce, Lydia Jewett, and Issa Melody round out the cast.

Millie’s previous featured screenwriting credits include: The Fabulous Four With Bette Midler and Susan Sarandon, You are dating a narcissist With Marisa Tomei and Mary Holland conducting Golden arm. Millie is represented by David Boxerbaum at Verve Talent & Literary Agency, Ryan Saul at Evoc Entertainment and Linda Lichter at Lichter Grossman.

“I’ve always dreamed of making a fun popcorn movie that pays homage to the quirky high school sci-fi movies of the 1980s,” Millie says. “The cast is amazing, and this story is so wild. It was so much fun to film. I’m so proud of this magical movie.”

Suvari returns to the teen comedy genre after starring in the hit film American Pie privilege. The actress also known for the Oscar-winning film American beautyis set to return to American Horror Story For the upcoming season 13 after her role in 2018 American Horror Story: Apocalypse.

She is represented by Innovative Artists, Entertainment Production Management, and Jackoway Austin. Evans is repped by Greene Artists and CT Media.
