The pocket novel stars Malvika Mohan and Vijay Sethupathi

Interestingly, ‘Pocket Novel’ also brings together Malavika Mohanan and Vijay Sethupathi after their successful appearance in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s 2021 blockbuster Master. While Vijay Sethupathi played the menacing antagonist in the film, Malavika stars opposite Thalapathi Vijay, who has now moved into politics and was recently appointed Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.Speaking about ‘Pocket Novel’, Vijay Sethupathi remained coy about the details of the film but hinted at a whole new dynamic with Malavika. “I can’t tell you much about ‘Pocket Novel’ right now. All I can say is that Malavika and I share a completely opposite equation compared to ‘Master’. I’m completely done with villain roles now,” he told ETimes. The actor also had glowing words for director Thiagarajan Kumararaja, crediting him for giving him one of the most challenging roles of his career. “He gave me the most challenging role of my career in Super Deluxe, where I played a clothes model. My role in Pocket Novel will shock the audience once again,” Sethupathi added. With Thiagarajan Kumararaja returning to the director’s chair and Vijay Sethupathi promising another unconventional character, ‘Pocket Novel’ is already arousing strong curiosity among Tamil cinema.
