A woman’s post about an Indian engineer who lost his job in the recent layoffs has gone viral in Meta, with many people celebrating that there will now be three less Indians in the US and the man may have to pack his bags with his wife and child from the US.
However, the post, if not fake, had a strong indication that the man was in Bengaluru, India, as he said the downtime Meta mail arrived in his inbox at 11pm Indian time.“His wife is in H-4. His child is in third grade in Seattle. He has 8 months left on his apartment lease in Bellevue. His H-1B clock is just starting to tick — 60 days. Meta stock soared on the news.
