In July 2025, CBS announced that it would cancel The Late Show with Stephen Colbert at the end of the 2026 season. After weeks of fond farewells from celebrity guests, including Barack Obama, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Pedro Pascal, David Letterman and others, the final episode of the late-night talk show airs on Thursday, May 21.
