Since the Cockroach Janata Party was launched online, it has gained huge popularity in less than a week. The popularity can be gauged from the fact that the satirical outfit has left behind BJP followers on Instagram.

In a recent interview, Abhijit Debaki, the group’s founder, spoke about the reasons behind the rise in popularity, the social media agenda of the group, and also expressed his fears of possible arrest upon his arrival in India.

“Finally, we know our identity in this country where we are looked at like cockroaches,” DeBakey said in an interview with The Red Mike.

Speaking about the Cockroach Janata Party overtaking the BJP in terms of followers on Instagram, he said: “I am not happy that we have more followers. What will happen with him? The issues remain the same.”

Earlier today, the Cockroach Janata Party’s X account was blocked in India. Dipke shared a photo of the pop-up window that appears when opening an X account and wrote in the caption: “As expected, Cockroach Janta Party account has been blocked in India.”

The satirical outfit founder also said that he will be arrested as soon as he reaches Delhi airport.

“I feel that as soon as I reach Delhi airport, a Delhi Police convoy will take me to Tihar Jail,” Debki said.
