Roger “Metronade” Moore, the popular content creator known for his funny skits and gaming videos, has reportedly died at the age of 23. His family and friends shared the heartbreaking news in an Instagram post, saying Moore died in an accident on Monday, May 11.
The sudden news shocked many fans who followed his videos across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitch. Metronade has built a strong online community through comedy videos, animated content, game clips, and cinematic skits that often touched on real-life struggles. While many people knew him because he made others laugh, his loved ones said he also wanted people to feel understood through his work. Over the years, he has gained over 644,000 followers on Instagram, 1.3 million followers on TikTok, and over 181,000 subscribers on YouTube.Aside from social media, Roger Moore was also a graduate of Syracuse University. According to the university’s student newspaper, the Daily Orange, he graduated in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in cinema from the College of Visual and Performing Arts. He was also associated with the Center for the Creative Economy at Syracuse University, where he left a strong impact on the students and creatives around him.

In an emotional Instagram statement shared after his death, Roger Moore’s family and friends spoke about how much he cared about telling stories and connecting with people.
They wrote: “Metronade has blended his experience in film with his passion for video games, anime, fashion, and more to showcase the highs and lows of love, work, friendship, and growth.”The statement explained that Moore used his personal experiences to create cinematic clips that could help others feel less alone. “By creating cinematics based on his own struggles, he wanted his viewers to feel less alone in their suffering,” his family shared.
He has read many of your letters and comments and greatly appreciates that he can use his work to connect with others.His loved ones also spoke of his faith and kindness. “He knew that this life was fleeting, and he urgently shared God’s Word with everyone in his life, both online and in person,” they said. The statement added that Moore believes strongly in treating others with kindness and compassion.Before ending the letter, his family asked for privacy while dealing with the loss.
They also revealed that Metronade still has unfinished projects and stories that he hopes to share with his fans one day.Syracuse University’s Center for the Creative Economy also honored Roger Moore in a separate Instagram post. The center called him an “alumni, artist and friend” and said his creative journey helped shape the university’s community of creatives. The publication described him as someone who lived with “love, compassion and a fearless creative spirit,” adding that his presence would be remembered for years to come.
